Year 7 Enterprise Challenge

Year 7 students were learning about Enterprise skills. They were given the challenge of saving an egg. They had to protect an egg from certain destruction when it was thrown from a high platform.

Here are some pictures of the students planning their ideas.

Year 8 Enterprise Challenge

This term Year 8 students tested their Enterprise skills by trying to make a container out of nothing but newspaper and seeing how much weight it could hold and how long it could hold water for.

Here are some photos of the students at work.

Student Entitlement

Student Entitlement

At Maplewell we believe that it is our responsibility to ensure that our students leave school equipped with the knowledge, skills and understanding to live their lives as independently as possible. This includes preparing them for further education, life-long learning and employment.

Through discrete career lessons delivered within the PSHEE programme of study, enterprise opportunities, work experience, college tasters and courses, and the Life Skills programme, we aim to prepare our students for life beyond Maplewell
